The one meal many children can count on is school lunch five days a week, and sometimes breakfast, if they’re able to get to school in time.
St. Luke is partnering, once again, with our community school, Harris Elementary, to make sure children are fed over the weekend. It is our endeavor to provide a weekend’s worth of food for those children in need. See the list below or click HERE to download the list.
You can help by providing NON-PERISHABLE food items each week on Sundays, in hopes that the children will return to school fed and ready to learn.
Please pick up some or all of the items on the following list:
- Ramen Noodles
- Cheese Crackers
- Individual/Full boxes of Cereal
- Beenie Weenies
- Pop Tarts
- Instant Oatmeal
- Jelly or Jam
- Granola Bars
- Bag of Pretzels
- Goldfish Crackers
- Peaches or Pears in 100% juice
- Fruit Snacks or Fruit Leather
- Can of Green Beans, Carrots, or Corn
Any foods that can be easily prepared, even without access to a kitchen.
For more information, call the church office at (501) 835-5571, ext. 105 and speak with LaFrancis Phifer, Director of Children’s Ministry.
